On Friday, 26/5/2023, we had the pleasure of welcoming to our school His Eminence, Metropolitan Nektarios. Mr. Nektarios spoke to the children about the life of Saint Longinus the Centurion. St. Longinus, was one of the soldiers who spoke on the side of Jesus on the cross. But Jesus managed to “speach” the heart of Longinus. Longinus, realizing the sacrifice of the Son of God, was baptized a Christian and martyred a few years later by beheading for the sake of Truth. We thank our Metropolitan for his presence and his special love for children. We wish him well in his work!
